What This Module Does With Your Data
Post Maker is a local plugin. It runs on your machine and processes your files locally. This policy describes every external data transfer the module makes.

Data Processed Locally (Never Transmitted by This Module)
- Your project source files (`package.json`, `README.md`, `src/`, etc.)
- Companion plugin data (`.case-study/events.json`, `OUTPUT/`, `git-launch/`)
- Generated posts and drafts (`OUTPUTS_POST_MAKER/`)
- Your writing style profile (`post-maker/writing-style.json`)
- All intermediate artifacts (outlines, analyses, rubric evaluations)
None of the above is transmitted by Post Maker itself.

External Calls Made by This Module
1. AI Provider (your IDE's configured model)
When you run the post creation workflow, your post content and project context are sent to the AI provider your IDE is configured to use (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI). Post Maker does not control or log these calls. Refer to your AI provider's privacy policy for how they handle your data.
2. License Validation (Lemon Squeezy)
Before each run, Post Maker validates your subscription by calling Lemon Squeezy (our payment processor). This call sends:
- Your license key (a UUID you received in your purchase receipt)
- A machine identifier (a non-reversible hash of your machine's hostname)
What is NOT sent: post content, file contents, your name, your email address, or any project data.

3. Source URL Verification (Research Step Only)
During the Research step, Post Maker makes HTTP HEAD requests to source URLs to verify they are reachable. These are read-only probes — no content is sent. Requests to localhost, private IP ranges, link-local addresses (169.254.x.x), and non-HTTP protocols are blocked.
4. Web Search (Research Step Only, IDE-Mediated)
If your IDE permits web search, Post Maker may initiate searches during the Research step. These go through your IDE's search tools, not Post Maker's own network stack. Refer to your IDE's privacy policy.

Data Retention
Post Maker does not retain any data. It has no server, no database, and no telemetry. All outputs remain on your machine in `OUTPUTS_POST_MAKER/` until you delete them.

Your Responsibilities
Post Maker generates content based on your project materials. You are responsible for reviewing all generated content before publishing. Do not include sensitive personal data, credentials, or confidential business information in files you provide to Post Maker.
